The long Island Convention & Visitors Bureau and Sports Commission, has
retained Island Strategies, Inc. The Long Island Convention & Visitors
Bureau and Sports Commission was founded in 1978 as a non-profit
membership corporation. Its goal is the promotion of the Nassau-Suffolk
region as a destination for tourists, meetings, conventions, trade
expositions and sporting events.

Island Strategies, Inc., founded in 2001, is the state's only lobbying
and grassroots organization. Located in Uniondale, New York, it is
headed by former State Assemblyman Arthur "Jerry" Kremer.

Island Strategies, Inc. is proud to be representing
the Towns of North Hempstead (Nassau) and Brookhaven (Suffolk).
The Town of North
Hempstead occupies 58 square miles. Its western border is roughly
14.5 miles from Manhattan. It is bounded on the north by the Long
Island Sound, to the south by the Town of Hempstead, to the west by
the borough of Queens, and to the east by the Town of Oyster Bay.
Its northern land boundaries are extensively arranged along the
Little Neck and Manhasset Bays, and Hempstead Harbor.
The Town of Brookhaven occupies 323.5 square miles (third largest
town in New York State). It borders to the north Long Island Sound
to the east the Town of Riverhead and Town of Southampton to the
West the Town of Smithtown and Town of Islip and to the south the
South Atlantic Ocean.
Brookhaven, located in central Suffolk County, has a population of
448,519. The town consists of eight villages and 52 hamlets.
